چکیده
cannabinoids induce diverse responses on anxiolytic–like behaviors. moreover some studies postulated that there is a close relationship between this system and serotonergic system upon cognitive process formation. thus the aim of present study is investigation the possible role of 5-ht 1 receptor on anxiolytic–like behaviors induced by acpa in the elevated plus maze task (epm). in the present study rats weighting 250–300g upon surgery bilateral guide cannulae were implanted to allow microinjection of acpa (agonist cb1 receptor), cp94253 hcl(agonist 5-ht 1 receptor) alone and them interaction in the acbsh. the data showed pretest acbsh infusion of acpa at doses of0.0002, 0.002, 0.02 and 0.2 μg/rat increased and decreased the percentage of open-arms time (%oat) and percentage of enclosed-arms time (%cat), respectively as compared to control groups. pretest acbsh infusion ofcp94253 hcl at doses of 5, 0.5 and 0.05 ng/rat, did not alter anxiety-like behaviors. in addition intra-acbsh microinjection of subthreshold dose of cp94253 hcl did not alter acpa-induced anxiolytic-like behaviors. our data suggest that activation of acbsh 5-ht 1 receptor did not involve in acpa-induced behaviors in the epm task.

Participation of 5-HT1-Like Receptors and 5-HT2 Receptors in Serotonin-Induced Contraction of Human Isolated Coronary Arteries 5-HT1-Like Receptors Resemble Cloned 5-HT1Dp Receptors
Background Serotonin may contract human large coronary arteries through two 5-hydroxtryptamine (5-HT) receptors, 5-HT1-like and 5 -HT2. These 5-HT1-like receptors resemble both cloned 5-HT1D receptor subtypes, 5-HT'1D, and 5 -HT1Ds. Although these subtypes have similar pharmacology, 5-HT1Dg receptors appear to have lower affinity for ketanserin than 5-HT1Di receptors. We assessed the relative p...

متن کاملThe effect of fluoxetine on thermal hyperalgesia in STZ-induced diabetic mice: possible involvement of 5-HT1/2 receptors
Diabetic neuropathic pain, an important micro vascular complication in diabetes mellitus, has been recognized as one of the most difficult types of pain to treat. Lack of understanding of etiology involved, inadequate relief, development of tolerance and potential toxicity of classical anti-nociceptive agents warrants the investigation of newer agents to relieve this pain. The aim of the presen...

The roles of GABAergic receptors of the Basolateral amygdala (BLA) in the cannabinoid CB1 receptor agonist (arachydonilcyclopropylamide; ACPA)-induced anxiolytic-like effect and aversive memory deficit in adult male mice were examined in elevated plus-maze task. Results showed that pre-test intra-peritoneal injection of ACPA induced anxiolytic-like effect (at dose of 0.05 mg/kg) and aversive me...
